Gain expert insight into how companies develop resilience in their organisation and processes. Hear how successful sports people have developed their own resilience to operate at the highest level in sport and in their careers. Karena Vleck will host a discussion between Dr Philip Stiles, Sue Day and Steph Cook.
Karena Vleck played in the inaugural Women’s Varsity Match in 1988, and became general Counsel at the RFU.
Dr Philip Stiles is Senior Lecturer at Judge Business School, Corporate Governance Co-Director, Centre for International Human Resource Management.
Sue Day has 59 caps for England and played in three World Cups scoring 61 tries. She then became the first female president of Wasps Rugby Club, and is now Chief Financial Officer of the RFU.
Dr Steph Cook won the gold medal in modern pentathlon at the Sydney Olympics after rowing at Cambridge, before completing her course in clinical medicine at Oxford. Steph is now a doctor.

Ian Ritchie was CEO of All England Tennis, before becoming CEO of the RFU in 2012, going on to deliver the outstandingly successful 2015 World Cup organisation, and the recruitment of Eddie Jones. He is now the Chair of Premiership Rugby.
Allegre Hadida is Senior Lecturer in Strategy from the Cambridge Judge Business School, teaching Dynamic Capabilities on the MBA course which the Financial Times judged as the 2nd Best Corporate Strategy MBA Course in the World in 2017.
Rob Andrew is a former England and British Lion fly-half, and a Cambridge Blue. Having had to cope with changing scrum-halves on the pitch, the RFU to Chief Executive of Sussex County Cricket. Rob is now changing balls as he migrates from Director of Professional Rugby at the RFU to Chief Executive of Sussex County Cricket.
Seminars will start with lunch at 13:15 after the end of Women’s Varsity Match and will finish in time for the beginning of the Men’s Varsity Match at 15:00.
